Amanda Reekie –Founding Director of ovatoyou

Amanda Reekie is a marketing specialist with over 20 years’ experience in FMCG, retail and e-commerce. She is the Founding Director of ovatoyou, in 2014, as well as, imagineNATION alliance, a marketing consultancy that was launched in 2004. Amanda was also the founder of Moozi Co Marketing in 2001. It assisted businesses with their marketing strategies, brand positioning, communication plans, consumer research and communication elements such as websites, brochures and packaging.

During her career she has also held the position of marketing, brand and product manager at various companies. This includes Inthebag (Pty) Ltd South Africa, the Edcon Group and Colgate-Palmolive.

Amanda has a BA Degree in English, Law and History from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Diploma in Marketing Management from the Institute of Marketing Management. She’s also a travel enthusiast who has a great affinity for the African bush and also loves good music and movies. Amanda resides in Wynberg, Cape Town with her husband and children.

Tara Thomas -Head of Operations

Tara Thomas completed a BA degree in Corporate Communication from Varsity College and the Independent Institute of Education and graduated
in 2015. She then did a product and marketing internship at a travel agency for 4 months.

Tara joined imagineNATION Alliance, ovatoyou’s sister company as a Marketing Assistant in November 2015 and is now Head of Operations at ovatoyou. In addition she is also involved in the day to day operation of ovatoyou and imagineNATION Alliance.
